Florangel holds a degree in Social Work from the University of Maryland. She has extensive experience in the social work field, helping families become self-sufficient and strengthening mother-child relationships. She has worked at many local organizations, including the Columbia Heights Family Support Collaborative, Community Vision, and Mary’s Center, where she has provided bilingual services to her clients, facilitating parent education, truancy groups for high school students, and prenatal classes. She is excited to organize and implement a broad range of programming for the families of Jubilee JumpStart, through home visiting and regular meetings with our at-risk families.
