Center Highlights: This newly renovated early childhood education center offers a loving, home-like environment, enriched, responsive caregiving that infuses learning in all interactions, a primary caregiver system, and a bilingual (English-Spanish) evidence based curriculum for children ages six weeks through five years of age. In addition Jubilee JumpStart offers highly educated and experienced caregivers including a lead caregiver with a college degree and specialization in early childhood development and education in each group. Jubilee JumpStart seeks to build strong partnerships with families through shared dialogue, home visits, and parent support and education.

Meals: The center will provide the children with meals that meet the USDA recommended guidelines for nutrition. A morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack will be provided during core program hours.

Ages Served: The center will serve 50 children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. Jubilee JumpStart strives to meet The following teacher to child ratio, exceeding the widely recognized national standards of quality as defined by the National Association for the Education of Young Children and the District of Columbia.

Infants: 6 weeks to 18 months       Teacher: Child Ratio 1:3
Toddlers: 18 months to 3 years   Teacher: Child Ratio     1:3
Preschool:     3 to 5 years   Teacher: Child Ratio 1:8

Subsidy Program: Jubilee JumpStart accepts District of Columbia childcare subsidies.

Program Highlights: Jubilee JumpStart's program focuses on two key research findings; (1) that consistent nurturing relationships are crucial for both the intellectual and the social-emotional growth of children; and (2) that an evidence-informed curriculum that begins in infancy and continues up to kindergarten supports a child's social-emotional, language, and cognitive development, which are vital to the child's success in school and in later life. Based on studies that show such programs make a marked improvement in the social, academic, and work success of children, Jubilee JumpStart will utilize the Creative Curriculum and Learning Games to develop an Abecedarian/Creative Curriculum model program, providing reflective and responsive care for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. Jubilee JumpStart is a dual language immersion program that supports the development of two languages (English-Spanish) in young children. Jubilee JumpStart will build strong partnerships with families to enhance their capacity to meet their children's needs through support, education and guidance.

Enrollment Process: Families may pre-register their children for the Jubilee JumpStart waitlist, by completing a pre-enrollment registration and submitting this with a $25.00 per child, registration fee. As enrollment opportunities come available, Jubilee JumpStart will offer enrollment to families following the priority and waitlist guidelines.
