Tuition and Child Care Subsidies

In alignment with the mission of Jubilee JumpStart to provide high quality child care to low income families, 75 % of enrollment slots are reserved for income eligible families. In addition priority enrollment in the Jubilee JumpStart program will be given as follows:

  1. Residents of Jubilee Housing who meet income eligibility requirements
  2. Employees of Jubilee JumpStart, Jubilee Housing, and The Family Place
  3. Other income eligible families
  4. All others

Income Eligibility
Jubilee JumpStart gives enrollment priority to income eligible families. For the purpose of this enrollment priority income eligibility is defined by the following scale, in alignment with the DC Early Care and Education Child Care Subsidy Guidelines.

Families are asked to provide Jubilee JumpStart with verification of their income during the pre-enrollment stage. The following information is acceptable as proof of income:

  • A copy of your previous years tax return
  • Copies of your last 3 pay stubs
  • Government documentation of any income assistance (i.e. TANIF, Social Security, etc.)

State Subsidies
Jubilee JumpStart is currently seeking approval as a licensed child care provider accepting D.C. subsidy payments. Families enrolling prior to this approval will be responsible for paying the full tuition cost until Jubilee JumpStart can accept subsidy vouchers.

Subsidy payments are determined by the D.C. Early Care and Education Administration. Jubilee JumpStart is unable to provide information regarding the amount of subsidy you may receive or the co-payment you may be responsible for at this time. If you should have any problems when applying for subsidy, please contact us.

Tuition Payments
Upon acceptance of an enrollment offer, a family is required to pay a deposit equal to one months tuition/or family's co-pay. This deposit is non-refundable and will be applied to the first month's tuition. Tuition payments are due on the 1st of each month. Late penalties will be assessed for tuition not received by the 5th of each month. Payment may be made by check, money order, or cash.

Preschool (36 months-60 months)    $1,000

Upon approval, Jubilee JumpStart will accept District of Columbia childcare subsidies. Jubilee JumpStart cannot provide families with information regarding subsidies and co-payments. Your co-pay is determined upon your approval for child care subsidy from the D.C. Early Care and Education Administration.
