The The Washington Center for Psychoanalysis has existed as a training center for psychoanalysts since 1914.  Along with professional training, the Center has long had a tradition of offering consultations, study groups and services to the broader community.  Recently they have expanded their community involvement.  A group of psychoanalysts have been meeting with the organizers of Jubilee Jumpstart monthly for more than two years now.  They have been involved in thinking about ways in which Jubilee JumpStart can be a full service day care center, with psychodynamically informed attention to teachers, children and families.  Along with intimate involvement in the planning of Jubilee Jumpstart, the WCP intends to remain engaged in the development of the program, and to offer ongoing support to family visitors, regular consultations with staff, and direct treatment of families and children as needed.
