Hummingbirds

Our Hummingbirds class serves infants starting at six weeks old. By building deeply nurturing relationships with each infant, teachers promote healthy growth and development through individualized caregiving. Our teachers partner with families to provide a balanced care experience between home and school.

Quetzals

Our Quetzals class serves children who have turned one by the start of the school year. Teachers help students learn words and phrases to express needs and wants. Our curious, energetic toddlers enjoy learning through song, movement and play based on individual needs and experiences.

Tree Frogs

Our youngest two-year-olds make up our Tree Frogs class. These little ones are growing increasingly independent, seeking to explore on their own and meet their own needs. Teachers provide daily opportunities to build autonomy and relationships with peers. Imitating and pretend play, block building, and music and movement are popular in this class.

Toucans

Toucans

Our Toucans are our older two-year-olds who are transitioning developmentally from toddlers and preschoolers.  They love learning through art experiences, cooking projects, putting things together and taking things apart as they explore how and why things happen. Teachers thoughtfully craft experiences for children to develop community while making exciting discoveries.

Tigers

Our Tigers is a multi-age preschool class of three- and four-year-olds preparing for the more structured experiences of elementary school. Teachers help children develop self-regulation, problem-solving, and other school readiness skills through play-based learning aligned with District of Columbia Pre-K standards. Tiger teachers skillfully balance individualized care and instruction with group needs.
