Teaching at Jubilee Jumpstart

Our organization provides education development

  •  Individualized and group coaching from our dedicated Education Coach. This coach works to ensure that we implement our curriculum to fidelity and offer our students the most developmentally appropriate experiences.

  • Jubilee JumpStart is a place where everyone grows! Investing in the growth of our Early Childhood Educators is one of the four pillars of our organization. That is why we offer all full time teachers.

  •  Financial aid for employees seeking degrees in education through our partnership with T.E.A.C.H DC.  This program enables teachers to attend college with little to no out-of-pocket cost.

  •  Regular onsite training that helps teachers meet annual professional development requirements, and scheduling flexibility so teachers can participate in online and offsite experiences that help teachers pursue career goals.

A place for you on the team

Our classroom model includes three teachers in each classroom, a Lead Teacher, Associate Teacher, and a Teaching Assistant.

Lead Teacher

  • The Lead teacher, develops and implements a high-quality education program including lesson plans that reflect the curriculum.  Lead Teachers must have Associate Degrees or be in pursuit of one that relates to child development.

Associate Teacher

  •  The Associate teacher participates in the development and implementation of lesson plans according to the curriculum. The Associate teacher supports the lead teacher and is as integral in the success of the classroom, also serving as lead teacher in the absence of the official lead.  Associate teachers must have a current Child Development Associate, teaching experience and be willing to pursuit a higher degree.

Teaching Assistant

  •  The Teaching Assistant provides support in the classroom by taking observations, implementing lesson plans, and suggesting activities to members of the teaching team. Teaching Assistants are required to have a current Child Development Associate (CDA).

What Teachers have to say

"I like to work at JJS because I am allowed to be my best, even with my mistakes, I am accepted. I love to see the smiles on my children's faces because they are happy to be at school. I am making a difference in a child's life and in their parents' life.
