What is Fall in Love with Books?
Get ready to embark on a magical journey through the world of literature at Jubilee JumpStart! From November 12th to 26nd, we invite families, book lovers, and community members to celebrate the joy of reading. Our mission is to spark a lifelong love for books in young minds by providing home libraries and bringing enchanting stories to life.
Whether you're a parent, a passionate reader, or someone who cherishes the magic of storytelling, this event is for you. Come explore a realm of imagination and adventure — we can't wait to share the joy of books with you!

Would you or your team or group like to pop in (or appear on-screen) to share favorite children's books with our little ones? We love welcoming visitors into our center virtually and in person. Donate to Our Book Drive
Can't join us as a JumpStar Reader? Help us stock home libraries with developmentally appropriate books our children love. Donate a book or two during our Family Book Drive. All books received through this drive will be distributed to our enrolled families or added to our Little Free Library.
You can find the books on our list just about anywhere you buy books. Shipping instructions are on the list.
Be a Spectator at Our Storybook Parade
Fall in Love with Books wouldn't be complete without a few of our favorite storybook characters making an appearance in the neighborhood.
Live or work in Adams Morgan? Come cheer us on as we bring favorite book characters to life during our Storybook Parade at 10am on November 22nd. Contact Verena for details on the specific route and starting time.
Volunteer at Our Fall Literacy Festival
Fall in Love with Books will wind down with our Family Literacy Festival. There will be loads of family fun and storybook magic, all to connect JJS families and partners and equip them to create storybook magic of their own at home. This year, this event will be indoors on Friday, November 22nd, at 4pm-6pm.
