March Into Reading -Spring 2023
_edited.png)
What is March Into Reading?
Every March, our community comes together to support our families in making reading a part of their daily routines. Our goal is to ensure that Jubilee JumpStart children have the resources they need, in school and at home, to develop the skills and confidence to succeed in kindergarten and beyond.
This year we're thrilled to be offering both in-person and virtual experiences for our family, friends, and community partners to join in the fun. With your help, we'll all have a fun-filled month of literacy-focused learning!

Do you enjoy reading to or performing for children? Have a creative skill you'd like to share? Are you or do you know a children's book author? Do you like to help out at events? If you answered "yes" to any of these, March Into Reading is the experience for you! You can schedule a visit to our center or join us at our Spring Literacy Festival to get involved. Contact Danica for more information or to signup.
Can't join us to read? Consider donating books or other learning materials from our Amazon wish list.

Parents, join the challenge and win the prize for the most literacy engagement in the month of March. Here's how:
-
Commit to reading to or sharing a language/literacy development experience with your child for at least 15 minutes a day. This includes verbal storytelling, allowing your child "read" and retell favorite stories to you, and exploring and reciting age-appropriate poems or song lyrics.
-
You'll need at least 75 minutes of these experiences in March to contend for the prize.
-
Earn points by recording and submitting snippets of the moments.
-
You can add to your points by signing up and showing up to read in a Jubilee JumpStart classroom. Contact Danica to schedule your session.
You can download the family flyer here.
