Floater/Assistant Teacher

This position reports to and is supervised by the Education Manager. Responsibilities include 1. Attending and actively participating in site orientation and role-specific training and coaching. 2. Supporting the teaching team as and where needed including but not limited to: -preparing and setting up activities, -implementing portions of the daily program as directed by the lead teacher on duty. -keeping the classroom and storage areas safe, clean, and well organized, -assisting children with meeting basic needs like eating, toileting/diaper changing, supervision, and first aid as needed, -engaging with and building relationships with children through attentiveness, play and respectful communication.

Skills and characteristics for success in this position include - A friendly, team-oriented demeanor. - Commitment to regular attendance and punctuality. - Ability to be active and alert for periods of 3-4 hours at a time. - Ability to listen, follow directions and receive feedback gracefully. - Ability to advocate for self and for children and ask questions when more information is needed, - A willingness to share ideas, interests and feedback. - Interest in learning more about the Early Childhood Development and Education is a plus.

Operations Assistant (Administrative Support)

This position reports to and is supervised by the Operations Manager and supports other leadership staff as needed. Responsibilities include - Greeting and welcoming people who come to the center. - Asking questions to collect information and clarify details. - Communicate ideas clearly and effectively. - Engage professionally with children and adults. - Providing information to visitors about our program, policies, and services, - Answering phones. -Copying/ scanning/ printing files. - Filing documents. - Organizing records into folders. - General data entry. - Assist with general inventory of office/classroom supplies and materials - Support distribution of newsletters and promotional materials through US mail and the organization's email and social media accounts. - Create flyers, signs, and posters. - Performing general office duties that keep the environment safe and clean (this includes keeping workspace tidy, practicing good hygiene, helping prep for and clean up after events and experiences, remaining alert and attentive to workplace and school safety hazards, immediately reporting safety hazards or concerns to your site supervisor or another administrative supervisor.) - Provide other general clerical support to the administrative team as needed, including the communications and family & community engagement teams. You MAY be asked occasionally to -support IT inventory, updates and general troubleshooting - support teacher tasks like taking photos, prepping materials for an activity, or creating posters and bulletin boards. - participate in planning and preparing for parent and community engagement experiences like our annual summer picnic. - help organize and restock classroom and office supplies. - help with front office art and craft projects. - assist teachers as they facilitate classroom lessons and activities.

Skills and characteristics for success in this position include - Confidence and good communication skills. - General knowledge about phones, computers, copiers machines and other office equipment and how they work, -A friendly, team-oriented demeanor. - Commitment to regular attendance and punctuality. - Ability to be active and alert for periods of 3-4 hours at a time. - Ability to listen, follow directions and receive feedback gracefully. - Ability to advocate for self and ask questions when more information is needed. - Willingness to share ideas, interests, and feedback. - Interest in learning more about front office operations and/or day-to-day childcare operations is a plus.

PR/Marketing Intern

This position reports to and is supervised by the Communication & Development Manager. Responsibilities include - Attending and actively participating in site orientation and role-specific training and coaching. - Developing and executing marketing campaigns and other center tasks/projects that communicate our program and services, illustrate our mission's impact, promote opportunities to get involved or support our work financially, - Participating in strategy and planning discussions, - Managing organization's social media Helping to design and distribute print and digital advertisements, including taking photos and producing short video clips. - Assisting to analyze and assess project effectiveness support other program and general operations functions as needed.

Skills and characteristics for success in this position include - Experience using computers, copiers, printers, phones, - Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Google Docs and design tools like Canva, - General familiarity social media sites like Facebook and Instagram, - A friendly, team-oriented demeanor, self-motivation, and commitment to regularly attendance and punctuality, - Interest in learning more about the mission and work of Jubilee JumpStart, - Ability to to listen, follow directions, receive feedback gracefully, - Ability to advocate for self and our mission and work, and ask questions when more information is needed, - Willingness to share ideas, interests and feedback.
